Both GOG and Steam will get you those files. The essential thing in any case is just to get your hands on the Quake game data in the pak files (pak0.pak and pak1.pak). If for some reason you really want to play DOS Quake then you can get that from the id software FTP site. GOG does also provide the DOS version of Quake, which Steam doesn't. There are also other places to get the music from, but this is definitely a point in GOG's favor. :-) The main GOG advantage is that it's handy to have the CD images from GOG, for soundtrack-music purposes. ![]() ![]() Smrtgi19: I know the gog.com is superior, but are they the same?
